While I haven’t started a new project yet (and I’m getting itchy to do so, believe me!), I’ve been busy doing some behind-the-scenes work from some of my older books. My goal is to get all this busy work done by the end of the year so I can hit the ground running in 2013 with all-new work.
One thing I’ve been wanting to do for a while was to update the covers to a couple of my books. The ones I had for them were okay, but they didn’t do a good job of 1) catching the reader’s eye and 2) giving potential readers a strong idea of the genre of the book.
So, here are the spankin’-new covers for Heart’s Revenge and The All Nations Team:

For comparison, here are the old covers:
Yeah. So I’m really happy about the new versions!
So happy that I’m prepping additional versions — audiobook versions. The All Nations audiobook is already underway, and I just put out a call on ACX for a female narrator for Heart’s Revenge.
What I’m not so happy about is all the TIME it took me to update these 2 covers. Because I’m pretty much a one-man show, I had to design the covers (which was fun!) and then save them as JPGs and TIFs, and then add them to my various ebook files (.mobi, ePub, and PDF) and then reformat my covers at CreateSpace for the print versions.
I’d kind of like that chunk of my life back, but… It was all worth it. I hope, when readers like you look at the covers, that you agree with me!
The new covers are a definite improvement.
