Yet again, two weeks have passed since my last blog entry over at Black Gate, which means it’s time for a new “Climbing Aboard the Dragon” blog entry about writing and publishing.
Today’s entry, “Battles Inside and Out,” covers the twin territories of internal conflict and external conflict. Or, as I like to think of it, angst and swordfights!
I try to show writers the best way to make a character compelling by giving them personal issues they need to deal with by the end of the story, as well as slaying the dragon for their quest. Even barbarians have feelings, you know!
