I have not read any pieces of your new novel but as a reader I like a character that grows or changes, is somehow enlightened from events in the book. Does that make sense? Hope that helps.

Excellent point, Cathi. I think my narrator grows and changes, but I need to always keep that in the back of my mind. At times he sort of blends into the background and observes, maybe too often!
