Notes for Revisin’

Written at the top of my notes for my baseball novel:

Make things more difficult.

Let the characters take over.

Got any other good, concise advice for me, fellow writers and readers?

  1. Mike,
I have not read any pieces of your new novel but as a reader I like a character that grows or changes, is somehow enlightened from events in the book. Does that make sense? Hope that helps.

  2. Excellent point, Cathi. I think my narrator grows and changes, but I need to always keep that in the back of my mind. At times he sort of blends into the background and observes, maybe too often!
