I had to get up at 4 a.m. to get it all done, but this morning I wrapped up all the major work on the last few chapters I’ve been trying to revise. At last! I can move on to Act Three of the book, where all the Crazy Stuff occurs.
It’s also the part of the book that’s mostly unwritten, and I have just one or two sentences where whole chapters need to be. But it’s all coming together. I may try to use the snazzy Scrivener trial software to organize the end of the book. Should be fun.
Speaking of fun, here’s a couple fun lines from today’s work:
“Welcome aboard,” said the bus driver, a skinny old fellow with bushy eyebrows that would have made Archie proud. He frowned at the dragon on her shoulder. “Sorry, no pets.”
Kelley peeked at Alexander, sitting frozen on her shoulder. Even his eyes looked fake. Good dragon.
And now I can enjoy Christmas, now that I’ve hit another milestone. 🙂
This is one I have read, just have to. Waiting is so agonizing, because if you’re writing it, I know it will be great!
