The land of the undercity is described in painstakingly vivid detail, and the characters are complex, realistic and unravelling slowly as the story commences. Well worth picking up for the horror/urban fantasy fan in your life. Makes the perfect christmas present, too. Must say, I couldn’t put the book down. Read it all night in one sitting. Scary as all hell.
